This policy covers both the K.G. Ivers Books website and the "K.G. Ivers Books Pin Manager" application ("the App"). It explains what information is and is not collected, and how it is used.
1. The Website
This website is an informational catalog of books published by K.G. Ivers Books. It does not require you to create an account or submit personal information, and it does not collect personal data from visitors. The site does not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers.
Links to Amazon on this site may be affiliate links through the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate, K.G. Ivers Books earns from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link, your activity on Amazon is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not this one.
2. The Pin Manager App
The App is a private, internal tool used by its owner to create, schedule, and publish organic content (Pins) to the owner's own Pinterest business account. The App has no external or third-party users. It is not a public service, and no other person can sign in to or use it.
3. Information the App Accesses
The App connects to the owner's own Pinterest account through Pinterest's official API using the OAuth authorization process. Through this connection it may access and manage:
- The owner's own Pinterest boards (to select where Pins are published).
- Pins created and published by the owner through the App.
- Basic analytics for the owner's own account and Pins (for example, impressions and clicks), used only to inform the owner's own marketing.
The App accesses only the owner's own account data. It does not access, collect, or store data belonging to any other Pinterest user.
4. Information the App Does NOT Collect
- The App has no other users, so it collects no personal information from anyone other than the owner.
- It does not collect data from website visitors, customers, or the public.
- It does not use tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics.
5. How Information Is Stored and Used
- Authentication credentials (such as API keys and the owner's Pinterest access token) are stored locally on the owner's personal computer and are used only to authorize the App's connection to the owner's own Pinterest account.
- Content and account data are processed locally on the owner's computer and exchanged only with Pinterest's official API to publish and manage the owner's Pins.
- Information is used solely to operate the owner's own Pinterest marketing. It is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
6. Third-Party Services
- Pinterest API — used to publish and manage the owner's Pins. Pinterest's handling of data is governed by Pinterest's own Privacy Policy.
- Google Gemini API — used separately to generate book-themed background images from text prompts. This service processes only the owner's prompts and book cover images; it does not receive any Pinterest user data.
- Amazon Associates — used for affiliate links on the website, as described in Section 1.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the App's data is stored locally on the owner's own computer, the owner may delete the App's stored credentials and files at any time, and may revoke the App's access from within Pinterest account settings at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the website or App functionality changes. The effective date above will be revised accordingly.
